Corene Green

Corene Green, 95, of Leake County, died Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2007.

Services were held Saturday, Dec. 1, from New Zion Baptist Church in Leake County with interment in New Zion Church cemetery. Rev. Don Savell, Rev. C.C. Burns and Rev. Rusty Walton officiated. Milling Funeral Home of Sebastopol was in charge of arrangements.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Harvey L. Green and son, Billy Jack Green.

Survivors include: daughters, Ollie Faye Stubbs and Augustta Jones (Jimmie) of Walnut Grove; son, Barney Green (Mott) of Sebastopol; daughter-in-law, Anita Green of Byram; sister, Ella Sistrunk of Walnut Grove; ten grandchildren including Amy Green Scott of Dentville and Chris Green of Jackson; and 15 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Ken Jones, Richie Jones, Mike Stubbs, Mack Stubbs, Brad Green, Chris Green; honorary, Eric Jones, Tyler Jones and Jim Jones.
