Edna Barnes Dixon Jackson

Edna Barnes Dixon Jackson, 78, died Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2007.

Services were held Saturday, Dec. 15, from Mt. Wade Missionary Baptist Church at Terry with Rev. Will T. Jones officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery with Westhaven Funeral Home in charge.

She was born Oct. 17, 1929, in Utica to X.L. and Rodella Barnes and was educated in the Utica School System. She worked as a cook at Crawford Nursing Home for 25 years.

She was preceded in death by her father, mother, husbands and one son.

Survivors include: sons, Oscar Dixon (Alma), Chicago, IL, Lindon Dixon (Mary Lee), Crystal Springs; stepdaughter, Jewel B. Mosses, Jackson; sisters, Alma Jones (Major), Detroit, MI, Kathye Finley (Wilbur), Margaret Washington, both of Chicago, IL, Emma Welch (Joe), Crystal Springs, Cloydell Jefferson (Donnell), Utica, Delois Hays (Ellis), Brandon; brothers, Excell Barnes (Bertha), Chicago, IL and L.C. Barnes (Rosa) Crystal Springs; 21 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren.
