Emmit Troy Gaddy, Sr., 74, of Crystal Springs, died Saturday, Jan. 26, 2008 at his home.
Services were Monday, Jan. 28 from Stringer Family Chapel with interment in Johnson Cemetery.
Mr. Gaddy was a native and lifelong resident of Copiah County. He was a front end mechanic for A.P. Lindsay and later service manager for Automotive Auto for many years. He later taught front end mechanics and after retiring he operated a peanut stand in Crystal Springs.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mary Helen Davis Gaddy; son, Emmitt T. Gaddy, Jr. of Florence; daughters, Peggy Dianne Gaddy of Jefferson City, MO, Beverly Gaddy Hunkapillar of Broken Bow, OK, and Kathy Lynn Gaddy of Crystal Springs; sisters, Mary Catherine Bryant of Crystal Springs and Virginia Ann Miller of Brandon; grandchildren, Stephanie E. Broker, Danny L. Moore, Jr., Travis L. Moore, Jason T. Moore, Jarrett H. Moore, Valarie R. McGehee, Felicia M. Jewell, Randy D. Hudson, Jennifer L. Hall, Bridget M. Ferguson and Josh K. Gaddy; and 13 great-grandchildren.
