Edween Myers

Edween Myers, 93, of Brookhaven, died Jan. 30, 2008 at her residence. 

Visitation will be 5pm-8pm Thursday at Stringer Family Funeral Home in Hazlehurst.  Services will be 11am Friday at Stringer Family Chapel with burial in Hazlehurst Cemetery.  Stringer Family Funeral Home in Hazlehurst is handling arrangements.

Mrs. Myers was a native of Copiah County.  She had previously lived in Jackson form 1940-1993 before moving to Brookhaven in 1993.

Mrs. Myers was preceded in death by her husband, Bennie Myers, in 1986.

She is survived by her sons, Ben Edd Myers and wife Betty Jo of Brookhaven, James Nichols “Nick” Myers and wife Nell of Jackson, and Hal Prine Myers and wife Georgia of Brookhaven; sister, Olene Brown of Brookhaven; grandchildren, Kim Myers, Ben Edd Myers, Jr., Suzanne Hambrick, Nick Myers, Jr., Denise Williams, Tracey Johnson, Tiffany Windham, Lacie Smith, Corey Myers; 20 great grandchildren; 14 great great grandchildren; 6 great great great grandchildren; and devoted caretaker, Marilyn Beeson.
