Alma Hillard

Alma Hillard, 83, died Monday, Feb. 4, 2008.

Services were held Saturday, Feb. 9 from Fairhill Baptist Church in Oma with Rev. Burgess Joiner and Rev. Columbus O’Banner Jr. officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery with Hazlehurst Funeral Home in charge.

She was born Aug. 26, 1924, to the late John and Eliza Rawls. She was a member of Fairhill Baptist Church, a Sunday school secretary and usher.

Survivors include: daughter, Eliza Robinson; sisters, Flora (Columbus) O’Banner of Jackson, Mamie (Willie) Weir of El Paso, TX; 17 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; 38 great-great grandchildren; special great grandson, Maurice Sturgis and a special friend, Mary Jane Nichols.
