Elbert Lee Harris

Elbert Lee Harris, 56, died Saturday, Feb. 2, 2008.

Services were held Friday, Feb. 8 from Minister of Alliance Building in Hazlehurst with Rabbi Devine officiating. Interment was in Social Relief Cemetery with Hazlehurst Funeral Home in charge.

He was born on July 23, 1951, in Hazlehurst to Viola Harris and the late Elbert Killings-worth, Jr. He was wed to Dwana Harris on March 1987. He was a member of the House of Israel Church in Braxton.

Survivors include: his mother, Viola Harris; wife, Dawna Harris; children, Tyrone Harris of Hazlehurst, Dennis Harris and Anthony Harris of Brookhaven and Edward Lofton of Indianapolis, IN; brothers, James Charles (Gwendolyn), Jerry, James (Linda), Dexter Anthony (Sharon), all of Hazlehurst, Larry Harris (Regina) of Brookhaven, Johnny Daniels (Marilyn) of Crystal Springs, James Killingsworth (Ethel), Joe Davis, Robert Killingsworth (Debbie), William Killingsworth,  and Landy Killingsworth (Daphne) all of Hazlehurst; sisters, Joelean Jackson (Jessie), Patsy Harris, Edith Harris and Wanda Harris, Berthena Reese, Beulah Murray (Jesse Charles) all of Hazlehurst, Diane Coleman (Artis) and Gloria Killingsworth of Jackson and Ruth Dixon (Leroy) of Detroit, MI; and a special nephew, Charles Trivilion of Gulfport.
