Edna Earl Davenport Reed

Edna Earl Davenport Reed, 59, of Hazlehurst, died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2008.

Services were held Saturday, March 1, from Westhaven Memorial Funeral Chapel in Hazlehurst, with interment in Garden Memorial Park Cemetery in Jackson. Rev. Douglas Noel officiated.

Mrs. Reed was born Aug. 17, 1948, to Henry Davenport, Jr., and Beatrice Rawls Davenport. She joined Shady Grove M.B. Church at an early age.

Survivors include: sons, Michael (Sandra) Davenport of Jackson, Gregory Davenport of Crystal Springs; daughters, Cynthia (Thurmond) Thompson of Jackson, LaJeanna (Gregory Robinson) Davenport of Crystal Springs; mother, Beatrice Davenport of Crystal Springs; sisters, JoAnn (Herbert) Thompson of Crystal Springs, Henrietta Davenport of Crystal Springs, Earnestine Sullivan of Maryville, IN, and Sandra (Michael) Dolley of Oceanside, CA; seven grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
