Ernest Lee Wolfe, Sr.

Ernest Lee Wolfe Sr., 57, died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2008.

Services were held Saturday, Mar. 1 from Salem Missionary Baptist Church in Terry with Rev. Boddy  and Rev. Jones officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery with Westhaven  Memorial Funeral Home in charge.

He was born June 23, 1950, in Crystal Springs to the late Cleavy and Nethel Wolfe. He graduated from Sumner Hill High School in Clinton and joined the U.S. Military , where he served from 1970-73 during the Vietnam War. He later joined the 162MP Co of the Miss. Army National Guard in Crystal Springs. He served during the Panama Crisis and Desert Storm. After retirement he worked for the US Postal Service until 2000.

He marred Connie Joiner in 1970 and they had three children. One preceded him in death.

Survivors are his wife Connie Wolfe; son, Ray Wolfe, daughter, Melinda Wolfe-Dunn; sisters, Betty (Micky) Adams, Mary Benson Brenda Wolfe, Madie (Linwood) Woodhouse, Carolyn (Charles) Jefferson; brothers, Norman Wolfe, K.D. Wolfe; and six grandchildren.
