Augusta H. Burrell

Augusta H. Burrell, 74, of Hermanville, died Saturday, March 1, 2008.

Services were held Saturday, March 8, from Freedman Hall Bapist Church in Hermanville with Rev. H. L. Burns officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery with Peoples Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Burrell was born March 3, 1933 in Hermanville to Gracie Banks and Rev. William Hampton. She attended Peigst School, worked on the family farm, was a caregiver and worked at Parks Lumber Company. She was an active member of Freedman Hall Church.

Survivors include: sons, Cornie III (Willinda) Burrell of St. Louis, MO, Richard (Deborah) Burrell of Jackson, Ed Burrell of Hermanville, and James Earl Burrell of Roy, UT; daughter Lillie (Charlie) Washington, Jr. of Hermanville;  brother, Willie Hampton of Chicago, IL; nine grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
