Jonah Freeman

Jonah Freeman, 61, died Thursday, March 20, 2008.

Services were held Thursday, March 27, from St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Caseyville with Rev. Kenric D. Brent officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery with Hazlehurst Interment Association in charge.

He was born Nov. 4, 1946, to the late Willie  and Mary Lue Kelly Freeman. He married Jo Ann Johnson in 1966 and had three daughters. He logged for many years and then operated heavy equipment for Dickerson and Bowen.

Survivors include: his wife, Jo Ann; daughters, Mignon Compton of Virginia Beach, VA, Lori (Jessie) Doss, Regina (Donald) Fleming of Caseyville, Sonya (Mario) Perdue of Jackson; son, Joshua Collins; sister, Mary (Melvin) Mack of Los Angeles, cA; brother, John C. (Josephine) Freeman of Caseyville; eleven grandchildren.
