Luke Rice

Luke Rice, 20, of Crystal Springs, died Monday, May 12, 2008 in Clinton. 

Services were held Thursday, May 15 from Stringer Family Chapel with interment in New Zion Cemetery. Stringer Family Funeral Services in Crystal Springs is handling arrangements.

Luke was a native of Jackson.  He was a graduate of Crystal Springs High School.  He had just completed Basic and AIT training with the U. S. Army as a Mississippi National Guardsman.

Survivors include: his father, Luther John Rice, Jr. of Crystal Springs; mother, Tracey E. Rice of Jackson; step-brother, Wesley Brisendine of Byram; paternal grandmother, Kathleen Vetter of Crystal Springs; maternal grandmother, Elizabeth A. Ford of Clinton; step-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Henderson of Wesson and Freddie Deaton of Gallman; and great grandmother, Louise George of Chambersville, PA.
