Orville E. Mohon

Orville E. Mohon, 85, of Crystal Springs, died Friday, May 30, 2008, at Select Specialty Hospital in Jackson.

Services were held Monday, June 2, from Stringer Family Chapel with interment in Pine Bluff Cemetery.

Mr. Mohon graduated from Crystal Springs High School in 1940. He was a commercial driver for 35 years before retiring and moving back to Copiah County and started a cattle business.

Mr. Mohon was preceded in death by his parents, Ovid Rotch Mohon and Mattie Monette Strong and a brother, Ray Mohon.

Survivors include: wife of 66 years, Katherine Mohon; son, Charles E. Mohon and wife, Lynn of Olive Branch; brothers, Wayne Mohon of Albuquerque, NM and O.R. Mohon, Jr. of Jackson; sisters, Nell Walters of Crystal Springs and Lillian Merle Gibson of Clinton; grandchildren, Christopher Mohon, Amy Lewallen, Rebekah Lewallen, and Jonathan Lewallen; and great grandchildren, Erica Mohon, Sydni Mohon and Emily Mohon.
