Jerldine Carter Bailey

Jerldine Carter Bailey, 59, of Brandon, died Thursday, Aug. 7, 2008 at her home. 

Services will be 11am Saturday at Stringer Family Funeral Services in Hazlehurst. Graveside services will be 2pm Saturday at Carter Family Cemetery in Woodville.  Stringer Family Funeral Services in Hazlehurst is handling arrangements.

Mrs. Bailey was a native of Mendenhall.  She formerly lived in Jackson, Wesson, Brookhaven, and most recently in Brandon.  She was a retired administrator from Bell South after 30 years.  Mrs. Bailey was a member of Sylvarena Baptist Church in Wesson.  She and her husband were members of the VFW.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents and husbands, Seymour F. Carter and Randy Bailey, and brothers, Chuck Jones, Carroll Jones, and Ralph Jones, and a sister, Gloria Bynum.
 
Survivors include: sons, Nathaniel (Nate) Carter and wife Vivian of Brandon and Matthew Carter of Wesson; brother, George Jones and wife Susan of Braxton; and sister, Kay Arnold and husband Paul of Magee.
