Thomas H. Thedford, Sr.

Thomas H. Thedford, Sr., 72, of Hazlehurst died Sunday, August 24, 2008 at his residence.  Visitation will be 5pm-8pm Monday, August 25, 2008 at Stringer Family Funeral Home.  

Services will be 10am Tuesday, August 26, 2008 at Stringer Family Chapel in Hazlehurst with burial in Mt. Zion Cemetery.  Stringer Family Funeral Services in Hazlehurst is handling arrangements.

Mr. Thedford was a native and lifelong resident of the Wesson community.  He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.  Mr. Thedford was a driver delivering butane and propane for many years.

He was preceded in death by a son, David Wayne Thedford and five brothers and two sisters.

He is survived by sons, Thomas Thedford, Jr. and John Thedford both of Wesson and Bennie Ray Thedford of Atlanta, GA; daughters, Joyce Matthews of Jackson, Patsy Cline, Shirley Jean Cline, Jo Ann Borel and Cynthia K. Rippey all of Wesson; sister, Ruth Hollomon of Wesson; 17 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren.
