Ralph H. Frizzell
Ralph H. Frizzell, age 79, of Crystal Springsdied Friday, September 12, 2008, at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, MS.
Mr. Frizzell was a native of Simpson County, Mississippi but lived in Crystal Springs from early childhood. He was a 1948 graduate of Crystal Springs Consolidated School.
He spent six years in the U.S. Air Force and later joined an Army National Guard unit and retired with 20 years of military service to his credit. He served his community as a service station owner and Southern Farm Bureau Insurance agent for many years.
Mr. Frizzell was a member of the First Baptist Church of Crystal Springs where he served as a deacon and taught a Men’s Sunday School class for many years. He was also a Mason.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Mary Frizzell, and a sister, Hazel Jean Frizzell Sanford of Yazoo City, MS.
Services were held Monday, September 15, at Stringer Family Funeral Services Chapel in Crystal Springs with burial in the City Cemetery in Crystal Springs.
Survivors include: his wife of 57 years, Betty Carol Ates Frizzell; daughter, Carol Diane Frizzell of Crystal Springs; son, Gary Frizzell and his wife Pam of Houston, TX; son, Jerry Frizzell of Crystal Springs; grand-daughters, Lyndsey Frizzell Hunt and Kelsey Frizzell, both of Madison, MS; brother, Bennie Frizzell and his wife Corine, of Madison, MS.
