Annie Lizette Ray Warren

Annie Lizette Ray Warren, 79, died Friday, October 24, 2008, of intracranial hemorrhage with herniation at the University Medical Center in Jackson. She was a retired nurse.

Services were Sunday at Culpepper Funeral Home in Kosciusko with burial at Rural Hill cemetery in the Lobutcha community of Winston County.

Born in Winston County to Campbell L. and Myrtle Permenter Ray, she was the youngest of ten children. She attended Lobutcha school and graduated Mississippi Delta Junior College practical nurse program in 1973. She attended First Pentecostal Church of Georgetown.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Leonard E. Warren of Hazlehurst; son, Lynn Warren of Drew; daughter, Kaye Warren of Hazlehurst. Surviving brothers are Kermett (Cherry) Ray of Crystal Springs and Arnold (Ruthie) Ray of Pueblo West, Colorado.
 
Other survivors locally include her nephew Bob Ray of Crystal Springs and nieces, Shelby Green of Crystal Springs, and Irene Williamson and Judy Ward of Wesson.

She was preceded in death by brothers, Lane, Niles, Freamon, and Dewitt Ray; and sisters, Addie Pearl Warren McCloud, Mamie Ruth Ray and Ruby Lee Ray.
