Chester Lynn Fortenberry

Chester Lynn Fortenberry, 53, of Wesson, died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2008, at Central Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.

Services were held Thursday, Oct. 30, from Strong Hope Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery. Community Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Fortenbery was born in Hazlehurst on Dec. 17, 1954, to Jeff E. Fortenberry Sr. and Auba Nell Bell Fortenberry.  He was a welder.

Preceding him in death were his father; his grandparents, Joseph Henry and Ruby Fortenberry; and Fred E. and Mittie Bell.

Survivors include: his mother; a daughter, Alaina Lynn Fortenberry, of Smithville, Texas; brothers, Jeff Fortenberry Jr., of Wesson, and Robert Fortenberry, of Crystal Springs; and  sister, Linda F. Dykes, of Wesson.
