Charles Franklin Twiner
Charles Franklin Twiner, 73, of Hazlehurst, died Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2008 at Pine Crest Guest Home.
Services will be held Friday, Nov. 14, at 11 a.m. from New Providence Baptist Church in Hazlehurst. Visitation will be held Thursday evening at the church. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Community Funeral Home in Brookhaven is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Twiner was born Nov. 9, 1935 to Joe Hardy and Ivy Nora Twiner. He was a graduate of Union Church School and attended Wesson Community College. He spent 21 years in the Army National Guard and after retirement was a door greeter at WalMart as well as worked in sporting goods. He was a retired Deacon at New Providence Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Christopher Dean Twiner.
Survivors include: wife of 43 years, Ann Doyle Twiner; sons, Darrel Twiner and Stephanie of Wesson and Scott Twiner of Hazlehurst; brother, Jacob Twiner and wife Catherine of Hazlehurst; sisters, Ivy Jo Moore and husband Tom of Weir and Virgie Ray Odom and husband Floyd of Pearl; three grandchildren, Brittany LeAnn Twiner, Chace Adam Twiner, and Emily Lauren Twiner.
Pallbearers will be Jacob Twiner, Louie Dixon, Johnny Green, Frank Bland, Tom Moore, Billy Doyle, and Dwayne Jackson.
