CA Boys win, CA girls lose against Oak Forest

The Copiah Colonels picked up win number two in basketball action last night over Oak Forest Academy.

After racing to a 28-11 lead by halftime, Copiah kept up the pressure and led 51-26 after three periods.   The final score stood at 56-25.

Reece Hankins led Copiah with 21 points.  Ben Boone chipped in 12 and Caleb Stewart added 11.

In girls action, the Lady Colonels fell to the Lady Yellow Jackets 57-42.

Lori Baham led the team with 14 points, followed by Rachel Strait with 7 and Ashley Baham with 6.

Copiah hosts Amite School Center on Saturday.  The teams will play four games beginning at 2 p.m.
