Copiah teams notch two wins Saturday

BOYS – Copiah 50, Amite 24

The visiting Colonels raced to a lead of 29-6 at halftime and cruised in the second half to improve to 3-0.

Ben Boone scored 11 and Caleb Stewart added 10 to lead Copiah.  Reece Hankins chipped in 8, as well.

GIRLS – Copiah 58, Amite 29

The Lady Colonels pressured the Rebels into several key turnovers to start the game and scored several easy buckets to take a huge lead after two quarters, improving to 1-2

Ashley Baham led all scorers with 15, followed by Rachel Strait with 13.  Lori Baham also added 9 to help her team.

Copiah hosts Central Hinds on Tuesday, with four games beginning at 4 p.m.
