Clarence S. “Jack” Loggans, 83, died Dec 13, 2008 at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson.  Visitation is Sunday from 5-8 at Stringer Family Funeral Home in Crystal Springs.  Services will be 2pm Monday at Stringer Family Chapel with burial in Poplar Springs Cemetery.
 
Mr. Loggans was a native of Jackson but grew up and finished school in Crystal Springs.  He was a graduate of Mississippi State University where he was a cheerleader.  After graduating, he joined the U.S. Navy and served overseas.  Mr. Loggans was a designer and sales rep. for Midland Containers for over 30 years.  He was an active member of Sylvarena Baptist Church, a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
 
He was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Loggans and a brother, Jimmie Loggans.
 
Survivors include wife, Ruth McLendon Loggans; sons, Ron Loggans of Atlanta and Jonathan Loggans of Jackson; daughters, Patrician Purser and husband Jimmy Dale of Wesson, Debbie Earls and husband Ronnie of Wesson, Ann Ratliff of Baton Rouge, LA and Jackie Holloway of Meridian; Numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
