TaKeisha M. Swilley Black, 32, died Sunday, Dec. 14, 2008.

Services were held Friday, Dec. 19, from Shady Grove Baptist Church in Crystal Springs with Rev. Andrea Tillman officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery with House of Peoples Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

She was born on Dec. 22, 1977, in Sulphur Springs, TX, to Linda Swilley and Donald Ray James, both of Hazlehurst. Her father, Burnell Swilley and grandparents, Tommie and Nannie Anderson and Ira James, preceded her in death.

She attended Hazlehurst Schools but graduated from Sulphur Springs High School in Texas. She worked as department manager of Photo Lab at Wal-Mart in Tyler, TX and D.G. Foods in Gallman.

Survivors include: her mother and stepfather, Linda and Kenneth McQueen of Tyler, TX; grandparents, Annie Anderson and Lou Emma James of Hazlehurst and Cleveland and Margie McQueen of Sulphur Springs, TX; sisters, Antrease Walker of Houston, TX, Felicia James of Detroit, MI, and T’Kaya McQueen of Tyler, TX.
