The Cobras played an impressive game against the Green Waves holding them to a score of 1-1 throughout regulation play. They eventually lost to the Green Waves 4-2 after a shootout competition. The Cobras scored early in the first half when Chris Fink fed the ball to Brandon Nettles. The Green Wave efforts at scoring were stopped several times by Cobra defenders Dustin Case, Sid Cawthorn and Cody Chrestman leaving the scored 1-0 for most of the first half. The Green Wave finally scored a goal late in the first half. The second half remained scoreless for both teams and rather than settle for a tie, the teams decided to have a shootout. The Green Wave made their first three shots while the Cobras narrowly missed their first two. Sid Cawthorn made the only goal for the Cobras leaving the final score 4-2.
The Lady Cobras were shut out by the Lady Waves with a score of 6-0. Any advances made by the Lady Cobra offense were either shut down by the Lady Wave defense or by their goalie.
