Juanita P. Beasley
Juanita Pace Beasley, 88, of Crystal Springs, died Wednesday, March 11, 2009.
Visitation begins 12 noon Friday at Stringer Funeral Services in Crystal Springs, with the memorial service to follow at 2:00 PM in the chapel. Interment will take place at Lakewood Memorial Park in Jackson. Stringer Family Funeral Services in Crystal Springs is handling arrangements.
Juanita was born in Kemper County to the late J.A. Pace and Alma Suttle Pace on January 10, 1921. She was married 65 years to L.W. Beasley before his death in December of 2005.
A longtime resident of Jackson, Juanita was a secretary at Van Winkle Baptist Church for 15 years. After her retirement there, she served as church secretary at Parkhill Baptist Church for another 15 years. She was also a longtime secretary for the Children’s Sunday School Department at Van Winkle Baptist Church.
She is survived by a son, James Beasley (Loretta) of Crystal Springs, and daughter, Anita (Herman) Milner of Anderson, South Carolina. Other survivors include five grandchildren: James (Amy) Milner of Winston-Salem, NC; David (Kristin) Milner of Anderson, SC; Sarah Rein (Trey) of Florence; Lane Beasley of Clinton; and Anna Beasley of Crystal Springs. She is also survived by two great-grandchildren: Jackson Milner and Katherine Milner of Winston-Salem, NC; numerous nieces and nephews; and a sister, Alma Rae Pye (M.G.) of Hot Springs, Arkansas.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Gilbert’s Hospice, 106 Riverview Drive, Flowood, MS 39232; the Mississippi Baptist Foundation, P.O. Box 530, Jackson, MS 39205; or to any other charity of the donor’s choice.
