Help for Simpson County tornado victims

For those who are interested in helping the tornado victims in Simpson County, the newspaper publisher in Magee sends the following contact information:

 The Mississippi Emergency Management Agency reports that the Mississippi Commission for Volunteer Service Volunteer Reception Center is now open at the Magee Civic Center located at 117 1st Ave., N. W. in Magee.
 
The center is open from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. daily until further notice.  Volunteers may also register online at www.volunteermississippi.org or by phone at 888-353-1793.
