Clyde Reed

Clyde Reed, 84, of Crystal Springs, died Tuesday,  April 21, 2009.

Visitation will be 12pm-2pm Friday at First Presbyterian Church in Crystal Springs.  Services will be at 2pm at First Presbyterian Church with burial in Lakewood South.  Stringer Family Funeral Services in Crystal Springs is handling arrangements.

Mr. Reed worked for Bellsouth for over 38 years before retirement.  Clyde was a member of the Servian Club, Lake Copiah Association, Karnac Hunting Club & Telephone Company Pioneers.  Alta Woods Presbyterian Church in Jackson and First Presbyterian Church in Crystal Springs were the churches he served as a deacon for many years.  His love for God showed in his work for the Gideons, in his church, and at home. One son Rodney Reed preceded him in death. 
 
Survivors include: his wife Katherine Bush Reed; sons Brian Reed and Dr. Martin Reed; and daughter Charlotte Rhodes; ten grandchildren; six great grandchildren.
 
Memorial may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Crystal Springs or French Camp Academy.
