James M. McGee, 74, of Vicksburg, died Thursday, April 23, 2009, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.
Services were held Saturday, April 25, from Riles Funeral Home in Vicksburg with Rev. Terry White officiating. Interment was in Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery in Copiah County.
Mr. Magee was born in Copiah County and had been a resident of Vicksburg since 1966. He was the son of Norman Mack McGee and Myra Essie Conn McGee and a graduate of Hazlehurst High School. Mr. McGee retired from Baxter-Wilson Steam Electric Station as an operating supervisor with 45 years of service. He was a member of the Army-Navy Club, the Civitan Club, and Bowmar Baptist Church where he was a member of the Adult 5 Sunday school class.
Survivors include: his wife of 53 years, Dot McGee; daughters, Cindy Guest and husband Hugh of Vicksburg, Sherri Bucnahan and husband Buck of Kosciusko, ad Stacey Waites and Ronnie Ingram of Vicksburg; six grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
