Morning, afternoon Memorial Day services planned

Two Memorial Day services are scheduled for Monday, May 25, in Copiah County – in Hazlehurst at 10 a.m. on the courthouse lawn, and in Gallman at 3 p.m. in the multipurpose building at the county fairgrounds.

Brigadier General Philip R. Fisher will speak at the courthouse service. Brigadier General Catherine S. Lutz will speak in Gallman. Between services, citizens are invited to view the Memorial Wall on display in the multipurpose building in Gallman.

In the event of rain, the courthouse lawn ceremony will be moved to the Chancery Court Complex located behind the courthouse.
