Georgetown mayor re-elected

Robert W. Windom, Jr., will serve another term as Mayor of Georgetown. He defeated opponent Edna Moody 76 to 35 in Tuesday’s general election.

Serving as aldermen for the term beginning July 1 will be Faye Berry, Jeff Craft, Sheila Childers, William Russell DuBose, and Robert Haynes. These five candidates earned more votes than Angela Grimes, who also ran for a seat on the Georgetown board.

The new term begins on July 1.
