City officials take oaths

Hazlehurst and Beauregard elected officials took their oaths of office during ceremonies Wednesday, July 1, at Hazlehurst City Hall.
Copiah County Chancery Court Judge Ed Patten administered the oath to the mayors and aldermen for the City of Hazlehurst and Village of Beauregard.
Four of Hazlehurst’s five aldermen were re-elected during the May primary. Taking his place on the board for the first time is Ron Sims, newly elected alderman for Ward 2.
