Edwin Lee Dear

Edwin L. (Ed) Dear, 50, of Wesson, died July 11, 2009 in Leake County.  Visitation will be 5pm-8pm Tuesday at Stringer Family Funeral Services in Hazlehurst.  Services will be 10am Wednesday at First Presbyterian Church in Hazlehurst with burial in Hazlehurst Cemetery.

Mr. Dear was a native and lifelong resident of Copiah County.  He was a graduate of Copiah Academy and attended Copiah Lincoln Community College and received an Associates Degree at Hinds Community College.  He was among the first ten applicants and trained at Nissan and had served as area manager at Nissan since.

Mr. Dear was an avid soccer fan and photographer.  He enjoyed riding his motorcycle.  He was a member and a deacon of First Presbyterian Church of Hazlehurst.

He is survived by wife, Sandra Martin Dear; son, Marshall Ray Dear of Tupelo; daughter, Kimber Lee Dear of Wesson; brother, Johnnie Ray (Butch) Dear and wife Jan of Monticello; Mother-in-law, Bonita Martin of Raymond; sister-in-law, Lynn Martin of Sherwood, Ark.; niece, Kristi Delzer of Valdosta, GA; and one great nephew.
