Juanita Marie Parrish Hood

Juanita Marie Parrish Hood, 71, died Monday, July 13, 2009.

Services were held Saturday, July 18, from Antioch Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Martin Washington and Kennis Harvis officiating. Interment was in the Hazlehurst City Cemetery with House of People Funeral Home in charge.

She was born Sept. 25, 1938, to Malcolm and Nancy Nell Parrish. She was a member of Mt. Sinai United Methodist Church. She married Lee Hardy Hood on Feb. 2, 1958.

Survivors include: her children, Franklin (Jackqueline) Hood, Jacques Hood (Cicilia) and Christopher Hood all of Hazlehurst; God daughter, Mary L. Williams of El Paso, TX; brother, Glen (Debra) Parrish of Hazleurst; sisters, Norma R. Taylor of San Antonio, TX, Mary Sue (S.D.) Norals of Hazlehurst; Barbara (Robert) Watters of Gulfport; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
