Wesson, Hazlehurst take home victories

Hazlehurst was an unfriendly visitor to the northern part of Copiah County last Friday night, taking home a 43-6 win over Crystal Springs.  The Indians, 4-1, will travel to Port Gibson this Friday night.

The Cobras of Wesson also took one on the road last Friday night, destroying Sumrall 41-6.  Wesson, 4-0, will host homecoming this Friday night against Florence.  Kickoff is set for 7:30.

 And, Copiah Academy, a team that no one gave a chance to even come close, dropped a hard-fought 14-0 decision to Jackson Prep in Gallman.  The Colonels, 2-3, 0-1, are also hosting homecoming this Friday night, as Central Hinds rolls into Gallman for a 7 p.m. start.
