Luther R. Buckley, Sr.

Luther R. Buckley, Sr., 75, of Crystal Springs, died Saturday, Oct. 3, 2009, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson.

Services were held Tuesday, Oct. 6, from Unity Baptist Church with interment in Unity Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Buckley was a native of Simpson County and had lived most of his life in Crystal Springs. He was a retired Auto Mechanic and a member of Unity Baptist Church.

Stringer Family Funeral Home was in charge of services.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie J. Lewis Buckley.

Survivors include: sons, Luther Ray Buckley, Jr., of Brownsville, TX and James Milton Buckley of Leakesville; daughter, Angela Buckley of Florence; sisters, Dorothy Welch of Harrisville and Francis Bennett of Brandon; 11 grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.
