Services will be held at Springs of Praise World Outreach Center in Crystal Springs on Friday, December 11th. Visitation will be held 9 am – 11 am with a Memorial Service beginning at 11am. Jimmy Parker and Pastor Darrel Blankenship officiating. Stringer Family Funeral Services in Crystal Springs is handling arrangements.
Kris grew up in Hazlehurst and attended Union Academy in Georgetown where he played football, basketball, and ran track. Kris never met a stranger and had a very loving personality which positively affected everyone around him. He would never let you leave without a big hug followed by “I love you.” Kris was loved by many people and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his father, Jerry Pitts, Jr.; mother, Janice Rutledge Pitts; birth-mother, Paula Clark; brother, Garry Pitts; sisters, Jessica Pitts and Samantha Norman Ashley; Paternal grandparents, Jerry Pitts Sr. and Janice Sarrett Pitts; Maternal grandparents, Harry Rutledge and Janet Vardaman Rutledge; niece, Chloe Partheymuller; nephew, Austin Pitts. Other immediate family members include: Paul and Debbie Pitts McCain, Patty Pitts Watson, Larry and Susie Pitts, Michael and Diane Forrest, Judy Burns, Harry Jr. and Delores Rutledge, Tim and Nancy Hartley; Tara Ward, T.J.
