Elizabeth Green Varas

Elizabeth Green Varas, 93, formerly of Greenville, SC, widow of Bud Varas, died Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2010 at Wesley Commons, Greenwood, SC.

A memorial service will be conducted by The Reverend Richard Thomas on Sunday, Jan. 10, at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown with visitation prior at 2:00 p.m.

Born in Cape Girardeau, MO, she was the daughter of William Franklin and Carrie Belle Green.

Survivors include: daughters, Stephanie Edwards of Iron Station, NC and Susan Hannah of Oxford; sons, Joe Varas of Abbeville, SC and Jeff Varas of Hazelhurst; 12 grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
