MEMA Receives Damage Reports from Severe Weather

 Pearl – The Mississippi Emergency Management Agency has received damage reports from three counties for the severe weather system that moved through the state Wednesday and today.

 The reports from the counties are as follows:

 Copiah County:  Three roads closed due to debris/flooding, reports of damaged homes and farm buildings. Affected area is southeast of Hazlehurst running northwest starting at St. James Rd and crossing Hwy 472. The National Weather Service in Jackson is surveying the possibility of a tornado touchdown.

 Warren County: Water damage to homes along Halls Ferry Road. Five road closures due to flash flooding; water has now receded.  County crews are working on cleaning up small mudslides and cutting up small trees and limbs that partially blocked roadways.

Wilkinson County: One home damaged affecting eight residents in city of Woodville.
