Hazlehurst swept at Amite Co.

The Indians and Lady Indians entered last Tuesday’s constest at Amite County needing a win.  The road test proved too much, though, as the Trojans won both contests.

The Lady Indians were led by Jasmine James in the 53-50 loss.  James scored 26 points and collected 14 rebounds.  Jasmine Bozeman (26 pts., 5 rebs., 7 assists) and Octavia Anderson (10 points 3 rebs., 3 assts) were the other leaders for Hazlehurst.

In boys’ action, the Indians fell 54-51.  No statistical information was available for this report.

On Friday the Indians defeated Wilkinson County 72-52.

Both teams play at Jefferson County on Friday.
