Carl Robert Callender

Carl Robert Callender, 66, of Wesson, died Saturday, March 27, 2010 at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. 

Services will be 2pm Monday at Strong Hope Baptist Church with interment in Strong Hope Cemetery.  Stringer Family Funeral Services in Hazlehurst is handling arrangements.

Mr. Callender was a member of Strong Hope Baptist Church.  He lived most of his life in the Strong Hope community and retired after 20 years from Sanderson Farms.  One of Mr. Callender’s great loves was fishing and he has now found himself a better fishing hole.  He also loved sharing tomatoes with his family and friends out of his garden.
 
Survivors include: his wife of 44 years, Florine Davis Callender; daughter, Pam Thompson and husband Danny of Hazlehurst; son, Tracy L. Price and wife SunCha of Crestview, FL; sister, Eula Jane Harris of Hazlehurst; and grandchildren, Trevor Davis Price and Lisa Jade Price.
