Charles Rigby

Charles James “Honey” Rigby, age 69, of Utica died Monday, April 5, 2010 at his home. 

Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 6, from 5-8 p.m. at Stringer Family Funeral Services in Crystal Springs. Services will be held at 4pm Wednesday, April 7 from Stringer Funeral Home in Crystal Springs following visitation beginning at 2pm.  Interment will be at the Carpenter Cemetery in Carpenter. 

Mr. Rigby served as a sergeant in the Strategic Air Command of the US Air Force.  He was raised to a Master Mason in Harmony Lodge #1 in Natchez, and later demitted to Washington Lodge #3 in Port Gibson.  He retired from Southwest Electric Power Association in August, 2001.  His parents, B. B. and Frances Rigby, preceded him in death. 

Survivors include: his wife, Carol Sudduth Rigby; sons Shannon W. Rigby and his wife, Melissa, of Crystal Springs, Page Rigby and his wife, Tara, of Biloxi, and Jeff Marble and his wife, Barbara, of Hazlehurst; one sister, Linda Rigby Jones and her husband, Terry, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; two grandchildren, Taylor and Bailey Rigby, of Crystal Springs; and two step-grandchildren, Zachary Montgomery and Trey Rigby, of Biloxi.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Association at 1380 Livingston Lane, Jackson, MS, 39213 and to Copiah Educational Foundation at P.O. Box 125, Gallman, MS, 39077.
