Harold Whitaker

Harold Preston Whitaker, 30, of Crystal Springs, died Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at his home. 

Visitation will be 5pm-8pm Friday at Stringer Family Funeral Home.  Services will be 10am Saturday from Stringer Family Chapel with interment in Bethsham Cemetery in Monticello.  Stringer Family Funeral Services in Crystal Springs is handling arrangements.  

Mr. Whitaker was a native and lifelong resident of Copiah County.  He attended Copiah County Schools and was home schooled.  He was an EMT and worked in law enforcement in Copiah County.  He had a heavy equipment certificate, auto mechanic certificate and most recently was a personal care technician.  He attended Wesley Southern Methodist of Crystal Springs.
 
Survivors include: parents, Henry O. and Betty Lynn Whitaker of Crystal Springs; sister, Tanya Whitaker of Crystal Springs; fiancé, Christy Murphy of Crystal Springs; and numerous cousins and family.
