Renfroe goes to Red Sox

Former Copiah Academy baseball player Hunter Renfroe has been selected in the Major League Baseball draft.  He was taken by the Boston Red Sox in the 31st round and was the 953rd player drafted.

Renfroe helped Copiah win the AAA-Div. II title this past season.  He finished with a batting average of .583, led the state with 20 homeruns and collected 70 RBI’s.

He graduated from CA in May and had previously accepted a scholarship offer to play baseball at Meridian Community College.
