Myrtie Mae Calloway

Myrtie Mae Calloway, 89, of Hazlehurst, died Thursday, June 17, 2010 at Hardy Wilson Memorial Hospital. 

Visitation will be 1pm-2pm Saturday at Stringer Family Funeral Home in Hazlehurst.  Graveside services will be 2pm Saturday at Hazlehurst Cemetery.  Stringer Family Funeral Home in Hazlehurst is handling arrangements.

Mrs. Calloway was a native of Hazlehurst.  She had lived in Copiah County her entire life.  She worked at Royal Maid Industries for the Blind for several years and several other factories and later kept children in her home allowing parents to work.  Mrs. Calloway was a member of Spring Hill Baptist Church.
 
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Calloway and a son Larry James Calloway.
 
Survivors include: son, Thomas Dewitt Calloway of Hazlehurst; daughters, Connie Louise Hawkins of Crystal Springs, Donna Joy Allen, Nancy Lynnette McCardle and Cynthia Ann Middleton all of Hazlehurst; grandchildren, Keith Calloway, Candy Ramsey, Marnie Reynolds, Dee Dee Armstrong, Brad Goodman, Joey Goodman, Jennie Cloy, Hailey Cooper, Samantha McCardle, Marley McClardle, Jace McCardle, Honor Middleton, and Marc Middleton; 17 great grandchildren; 18 great great grandchildren;  3 nieces and 2 nephews.
