10-8 Trustmark arrest

Wesson Police Chief Chad O’Quinn reported that a subject has been arrested in the robbery of Trustmark Bank in Wesson, which occurred on Thursday, September 16.
Elmer James Baker, whose address is listed as 3361 Old Malcum Rd., Brookhaven, MS, was arrested late Wednesday evening in Durant, Miss., by members of the Mississippi Highway Patrol S. W. A. T. team.  Baker has been charged with one count of armed robbery of Trustmark Bank in Wesson.  Investigators with Wesson Police Department, along with others from Copiah County Sheriff’s Office, MHP, Miss. Gaming Commisssion and Miss. Bureau of Investigation, are continuing to look into the case.  O’Quinn said its highly possible that other charges are pending in the case.
Baker is a former science teacher at Hazlehurst High School, according to information provided by O’Quinn.  The 2010 HHS annual lists his picture. 
Baker is being held at Copiah County Jail in Gallman while awaiting his initial hearing.
