Buddy was born September 13, 1927 in World War II. He returned to Ole Miss and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
Buddy married Martha Biggs in June 1950. They returned to her hometown and shortly thereafter he joined the family business, Biggs Hardware. Buddy spent 52 years on “back street” until his retirement in 2002, where he spoiled all the customers. They knew they could come to the store to find whatever hardware item they needed or to have a good laugh or fussing.
Buddy was a member of First Baptist Church of Crystal Springs. He was a life
long Ole Miss Rebel and golfer. Each Wednesday, weather permitting, you would find him and the golfing group friends on the Rolling Hills Country Club golf course. Throughout the years he was a member of the Lions Club, Chamber of Commerce and othercivic clubs. Buddy was a cheerleader for Crystal Springs and a friend always.
His was preceded in death by his beloved wife Martha in June 2008, his parents Floyd and Odell McCoy, sisters Rosemary Graves and Martha Cranford.
Buddy is survived by his daughters Mary Dell and Adren; niece and nephews Leslie and Gene Horton, Roland Cranford, Tully Morrison and their families and a host of dear friends.
