Gerald Wade Rhodes, Sr.

Gerald Wade Rhodes, Sr., 58, of Braxton, died Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. 

Visitation will be 5pm-8m Wednesday at Stringer Family Funeral Home in Crystal Springs.  Services will be 11am Thursday at Stringer Family Chapel with interment in Old Crystal Springs Cemetery.  Stringer Family Funeral Services in Crystal Springs is handling arrangements.

Mr. Rhodes was born in Hazlehurst on October 4, 1952 to Will Rhodes and Nannie Deaton Rhodes.  He spent most of his life in Crystal Springs and the last several years in Braxton.  He was a member of Highland Baptist Church in Crystal Springs.  Mr. Rhodes was a painter and worked for many years at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.  He had also worked offshore for Noble Drilling

Mr. Rhodes was preceded in death by his parents, Will Rhodes and Nannie Deaton Dixon and a grandson, Hunter Cannon Rhodes.  Co.

Survivors include: two sons, Gerald Wade Rhodes, Jr. (Kristi) and Anthony Mark Rhodes both of Crystal Springs; two daughters, Malisa Rhodes Jones (Earl) of Magee and Jennifer Patterson Solano (Mitch) of Florence; three granddaughters, Amber Jones of Magee, Sawyer Beach and Isabella Solano both of Florence; one grandson, Zach Beall of Florence; and his twin brother, Earl Rhodes (Jean) of Pearl.
