Mary Christine Thetford Harris Boren

Mary Christine Thetford Harris Boren, 85, of Wesson, died Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011 at Hardy Wilson Memorial Hospital.

Services will be held Sunday, Feb. 13, at 3 p.m. from Brandywine United Methodist Church  in Pattison with interment in Pleasant Hill Church Cemetery.

Mrs Boren was born Aug. 28, 1925 to Walter Lee Thetford and Ruth Kelly Furr Thetford. She was a homemaker and member of Brandywine United Methodist Church. Mrs. Boren was very active in the Garden Club, Church Choir and was always planning family activities. She loved to travel, play the piano and sing, cook, meet friends at Porches Restaurant, and sit on the porch and swing with her dog, Buttercup. She was a master seamstress and loved to crochet. She enjoyed wood working, painting, and many arts & crafts. She enjoyed watching the Game Show Channell for many years and also enjoyed playing various card games. But most of all, Mrs. Boren enjoyed being with her family.

Survivors include: daughters, Babs Harris Wood and husband Bubba of Hazlehurst; Robyn Harris Hullihan and husband Russ of Washougal, WA; Dollie Harris DeRoche and late husband Bruce of Mandeville, LA; sisters, Frances Thetford DelRosso of Boise, ID; Betty Ruth Thetford Currie and husband Donald of Brookhaven; grandchildren, Chris Viramontez and wife Teresa, Dona Pell and husband Michael all of Wesson, Brandi Gremillion and husband, Joey of Crystal Springs, Jessie DeRoche Pindell of Mandeville, LA, Amy Power and husband Bruce of Hemet, CA; great grandchildren; C.J. Viramontez, Luke Greenlee, Aimee Vanderford, Rosie Wilson, Ashley Pell Watts, Kayla Pell, Kelsey Pell, Carly Fleming, Tre Fleming, Brandon Gremillion, Connor Pindell, Tayler Rae Hagedorn, Hallie Hagedorn, Landon Power, and Maykalie Power.
