Shelby Grubbs
Shelby Gene Grubbs, 73, of Crystal Springs, died Thursday, February 17, 2011 at Pine Crest Guest Home in Hazlehurst following complications associated with Alzheimer’s disease.
Visitation will be 5pm-8pm Friday at Stringer Funeral Home in Crystal Springs. Services will be 11am Saturday at Stringer Family Chapel with burial in Harmony Cemetery. Stringer Family Funeral Services in Crystal Springs is handling arrangements.
Shelby was born in Mendenhall, son of Etta Mae and Eugene Grubbs. He
resided in Crystal Springs for 36 years. He worked at Delta Construction Company in Flowood for over 42 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening anything related to outdoors.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn Annette (Smith) Grubbs of
Mendenhall. He leaves his wife of 30 years Carol Ann McLendon Grubbs; his
daughters, Kimberly Ann Armstrong, Aretha Rebecca Walker, Cheryl Lee Thompson; his son, Kenneth Ray Herrington; and his five grandchildren.
