James “Jim” Hulon

James “Jim” Hulon, 51, of Wesson formerly of Summerland community, died Friday, April 22, 2011, at Kings Daughters Hospital in Brookhaven.

Funeral services will be held at 3 pm Sunday, April 24, 2011, at Summerland Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery.  Revs. Eric Estus, Stan Buckley and Tom McCormick will officiate.  The body will be placed in the church at 2 pm Sunday. 

Jim was an estimator with Diebold. He was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church in Wesson, Lions Club, an adult leader in the Boy Scouts, Wesson Athletic Foundation, a minister of music at several churches, and a graduate of MS State in 2003 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Joe was also an avid sportsman who loved hunting, fishing, and traveling.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jay P. Hulon and grandparents, Walter and Ida Hinton.

Survivors include his wife, Jane Grissom Hulon of Wesson; two sons, William James Hulon and Andrew Joseph Hulon; mother, Lanelle Hulon Bergin of Taylorsville; brother, Joe Hulon of Taylorsville; sister, Jayne Windham and husband Donald of Bay Springs; special friends, Jennifer and Tommy Stewart of Brookhaven; and numerous nieces and nephews and sisters and brothers-in-law.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Stewart, Ted Collins, T. J. Grissom, Mason Grissom, Cody Windham, Josh Windham, Michael Welch and Heath Hulon.

Visitation will be held from 5 until 8 pm Saturday, April 23, at Memory Chapel of Laurel which is in charge of the arrangements.
