Colonels alive in playoff hunt

ACE ON THE MOUND, TERROR AT THE PLATE – The Colonels dropped an 8-3 decision to the East Rankin Patriots in Gallman last week. CA senior righthander Trevor Blocker went the distance in a losing effort and helped his own cause with a pair of solo home runs. Copiah was scheduled to play a make-up doubleheader at East Rankin. The Colonels bounced back and swept the Patriots on Monday (17-3, 10-0), hitting 8 home runs. They conclude the regular season with a 3-game series against Presbyterian Christian this weekend.
